Winners Experience!
before joining winners education, i had difficulty answering questions as i was not very familiar with what important keywords to use / look out for and i could not understand concepts well which resulted in me blindly memorising my notes. after getting a b4 for my wa1, i joined winners education. mr chua has helped me build a strong foundation by emphasising and repeatedly going through basic concepts which i can understand now with ease. i managed to achieve an a1 for my eoy examinations. thank you mr chua for the support!
Winners is truly amazing! I was initially struggling with my chemistry throughout secondary 3, scoring either just pass c6s or even d7s. I realised that my general understanding of the concepts in chemistry were severely lacking and hence I saught winners education. Through Mr chua's patient and effective teaching, it made me understand and learn the concepts much better than before, improving my chemistry by leaps and bounds, all the way to an A2 in my prelims!! Thank you Mr chua and winners!!
Mr Chua is an amazing teacher! Since secondary one, I had failed almost every chemistry exam. After getting D7 for about three times in a row, I went to Winners Education to turn my results around. I’m just two months, I went from a failing grade to B3! I cannot thank Mr Chua enough for his guidance and his amazing way of teaching such as starting slowly with the basics and building the foundation for us students!
Before joining Winners, I thought I would never do well for Chemistry as I seemed to be exceptionally weak in science subjects. I got D7 for my very first WA and then F9 for WA2. Around that period, my mother signed me up for Winners. Mr Chua is able to break down every topic and explain everything in great clarity, which truly helped my understanding. I stopped memorizing what was taught to me and instead begin to truly understand the subject, which helped me greatly. Slowly, I began to improve, finally getting A in sec 4, a year after I began, something I never thought I would achieve. He's a very good teacher who never gave up on me and always answered any question I had, making sure I understood the topic at hand. He encourages our participation in class, and even if we're wrong, he'll never shoot us down. Through his guidance, I've improved significantly and I recommend anyone who is struggling with chemistry, anyone who thought they cannot do well in this subject, to join. It will be a shocker what you can achieve under him with a little hard work.
About seven years ago, I first heard about Winners education and Mr Chua’s effective teaching methods through my friend. My son and daughter attended his JC level Chemistry Tution and both scored very well in A levels. Their dedication in clarifying questions asked really helped my children to be passionate in Chemistry. Timely Feedback provided by the centre to parents helped me to step in where my daughter need help. I would certainly recommend Winners for Chemistry Tution.
Mr Chua has a structured and patient approach to his teaching. His engaging lessons and comprehensive notes helped me grasp complex Chemistry concepts, improving my understanding and grades. With his support, I improved greatly. Thank you Mr Chua!
I was struggling with H2 Chemistry in JC1 as my physical chemistry foundation was not strong. I barely passed my first few tests in J1 and found it very challenging to understand school lectures given the fast pace. I joined Mr Chua’s class where he places strong emphasis on building solid foundation for concepts and not by memorising. I also had an enjoyable experience in his classes which were interactive and engaging. I eventually got my A for A levels. Thank you Mr Chua for your guidance!
Mr Chua is a patient and dedicated teacher who always prioritises on ensuring that our basic foundations are strong before tackling challenging questions. His workshops helped me to revise the key concepts and answering techniques for each topic which made me more prepared for my Alevels.
I joined Winners before A levels as I was struggling with understanding Chemistry. I thought it was too late for me. However upon joining, Mr Chua's extensive notes and well structured lessons helped me understand chemistry much better. He is a patient teacher who will give comprehensive explanations to all my questions. The centre also conducts additional lessons to assist my learning before examinations. Under Mr Chua's guidance and unwavering determination, my grades improved from a U in prelims to a B in A levels in 3 months! If you are looking for a centre that is serious about pulling up grades, this is the place for you. Thank you Mr Chua
Prior to joining Winners in secondary 3, I struggled with understanding the concepts taught in school and scored E8s for my WA tests. Through Mr Chua’s guidance, I was able to score A1 for O Levels. Through attending Mr Chua’s lessons, his clear explanations helped me understand key concepts easily and I was able to apply these ideas through the many effective practice questions he set for us. His passion and energy made me look forward to attending his lessons, and ultimately sparked my love for Chemistry. Thank you Mr Chua!
It’s incredible! My son went from F9 since sec 3 to B3 for Prelims to A2 for his recent Os. He started taking lessons from Mr Chua in late may/june 2024, just 5 months before his Os. We were worried that he would not be able to catch up given the short period of time but Mr Chua’s teaching techniques has proven to be effective! No regrets signing up for his lessons. We have since recommended friends with kids who are struggling with chem to attend lessons at winners. There is no need to hesitate anymore as the longer you drag, the lesser time the kid will have for revision. Thank you Mr Chua for your guidance to my son. He not just did well academically but his overall confidence and morale has also been boosted.
Personally think that the experience was really good. My daughter only started in Sec 4 after realizing she can't cope after Sec 3 final exams (C6), so went Winners and for O-level, she achieved A2! All thanks to Winners! And Teacher Sean is really attentive and there is also review session with the parents to keep us posted on her progress.
Mr Sean Chua at Winners Education has helped me to improve greatly in my Chemistry. He has the ability to break down seemingly complex concepts such that they are easy to understand. He also taught me how to approach challenging questions and solve them using answering techniques. In 5 months, he helped me to jump from a D7 to an A2 at GCSE ‘O’ Levels. I would highly recommend Winners Education to students studying Chemistry.
before i joined winners, i had difficulty understanding the important concepts and keeping up in class, causing me to get e8 in my sec 3 eoys. after joining winners at the start of sec 4, i could understand how to apply the respective concepts when solving questions way better than before. mr chua is a dedicated and passionate teacher that always does his best to help us in any way possible. with his iconic BAM technique, i started to answer questions with ease. thanks to mr chua, i’ve attained an a2 for the o levels, something i never thought i was capable of achieving. i strongly recommend winners education to anyone that’s struggling with chemistry as he has definitely changed my impression of chemistry for the better. thank you, mr chua!
I joined Mr Chua's classes somewhere in Jan, abt 10 months before o lvls with a d7/c6 grade.
Mr Chua uses anecdotes to make lessons engaging and utilises acronyms & stories to aid us in more content focused topics. mr Chua also frequently stresses on understanding rather than memorising content and that helped me to better grasp how electrochem and organic chem works
Mr Chua's notes was especially helpful for me as much of the syllabus content was compiled nicely for easy reference, and it also helped me save time instead of spending hrs making them
The recorded lessons also aided me as I could revisit lessons anytime anywhere and catch up on things I missed out
I could also text Mr Chua anytime to ask him abt chemistry-related Qns which helped greatly because I could get personalised feedback.
Apart from the teaching strategies, mr Chua also constantly reminds us to work hard and be focused and that helped me to stay on track and finally attain A1 for my o lvl pure chem
Overall I think I had benefited bc of the notes, teaching strategies and style and the messaging feature 👍

I believe entering JC is another big jump from secondary which can be greatly reflected from the difficulty of the subject. Mr chua’s chemistry bridging workshop has successfully made this less terrifying by recapping the topic we learned in secondary while teaching us some of the new basic concepts we will be facing in JC. This will surely make chemistry lesson in JC to be less intimidating while more looking forward to all the chemistry lessons.
Mr Sean is a great teacher. He teaches us how we should understand basic keywords and associated concepts during the J1 H2 Chemistry bridging programme, which was also part of his teaching pedagogy. His lessons are very easy to follow through as he can break down complicated calculations into step-by-step guides, making the process much easier to follow. His lessons are interactive as he teaches us to solve and not give answers freely too- exactly the type of tutor that I’ve been yearning for. I would strongly recommend for potential students to join Mr Sean’s tuition if you would like to rely on basic mapping skills and a slower pace of studying for chemistry. Without Mr Chua, my WAs would not have been consistent As and I would not have been able to get my A2 in O levels.

Winners gave amazing help to my son. In 10mths, he went from bare pass at end of sec 3 to A1 in O levels! Most important was that during the process, he was motivated by the tutor to excel in Chem. His interest in Chem (triggered by Winners), together with the teaching methods by Winners, was a fantastic combination. For 1 year, he had tuition for both sec 3 and 4 syllabus in Winners (yes twice a week). But their admin made it so easy by scheduling the slots adjacent in a day. I am very grateful for Winners.
I had the privilege of being tutored by Mr. Sean Chua for my GCSE Chemistry, and I can't recommend him highly enough. His enthusiasm for the subject is truly contagious, and his engaging teaching style kept me alert and motivated throughout every lesson. What really sets Mr. Chua apart is his ability to break down complex concepts, teaching them in-depth at a pace that ensures full understanding. The worksheets and curated questions he provides are incredibly well thought out and targeted to reinforce what we've learned, giving me plenty of practice and helping me grasp difficult topics. Thanks to his valuable lessons and expert guidance, I was able to achieve an A1 in Chemistry for my O Levels. I'm incredibly grateful for his support and would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to excel in Chemistry!
Sean is very enthusiastic and very patient with every single one of his students, and definitely knows what he is doing when teaching. Most importantly, he is able to help students find joy in studying and fall in love with the subject. Would definitely recommend if looking to improve chemistry!
